At Old School Barbers, we believe a great haircut should be designed around the individual. No two people have the same hair, features, personal style or lifestyle, so we don’t believe in simply giving everyone the same haircut.

Our barbers are highly skilled in classic and modern barbering, from traditional cuts and clean fades to contemporary, textured and scissor-cut styles. Every haircut is approached with attention to detail, balance and a finish that works for the person wearing it.

We consider your hair type, texture, density, natural growth and movement, as well as your face and head shape. We also understand that a haircut needs to fit your everyday life — your personal style, profession, how you dress and how much time you want to spend styling your hair.

HAIRCUTS WITH VAL

As the founder of Old School Barbers, Val has developed his own approach to cutting hair through years of experience, creativity and attention to detail.

Val looks at the complete picture before creating a haircut — your facial features and proportions, head shape, hair texture, density, natural movement and growth patterns, together with your personal style, profession and lifestyle.

Rather than simply copying a haircut from a photograph, Val looks at what you like about the style and adapts it to your own hair, features and individuality. The aim is to create a balanced haircut that looks right on you and works with the way you live and style your hair.

CUSTOM HAIRCUT — £55

For clients whose haircut requires additional time, consultation and attention to detail, we offer our Custom Haircut.

This service is particularly suited to longer hair, detailed scissor work, textured or layered styles, significant restyles, or more complex and specific haircut requests.

The additional time allows your barber to properly assess the hair, discuss the desired result and work with its natural shape, texture and movement to create a haircut specifically suited to you.

If you have longer hair, are looking for a significant change, or have a particular or special haircut request, please select the £55 Custom Haircut when booking.

For our regular classic and modern haircuts, fades and everyday barbering services, please select the appropriate service from our standard haircut menu.

The same applies to children’s haircuts. If your child has longer hair, requires detailed scissor work, a restyle, textured or layered work, or you have a particular or special haircut request, please select the Custom Haircut when booking.
